Botswana Public Officers Pensions Fund (BPOPF) is the biggest pension fund in Botswana. The Fund was registered in 2001 as a result of a Government decision to change the Public Officer’s Pension arrangement from a Defined Benefit Pension Scheme to a Defined Contribution Pension Scheme.
We are hiring for the following positions:
KYC ANALYST
(1-YEAR FIXED TERM , BASED IN GABORONE, GHANZI, KANG, TSABONG, GUMARE, LETLHAKENG, MAUN, LOBATSE, KASANE, FRANCISTOWN, SELIBE-PHIKWE, PALAPYE, MAHALAPYE, SEROWE & JWANENG)
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Reporting to the KYC Supervisor, KYC Analysts provide KYC compliance advisory support on matters relating to local legal and regulatory requirements.
A. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• Minimum of a Certificate in AML/CFT/CDD/KYC, Financial Crime, Compliance, or any related field.
• CDD/KYC/AML certification will be an added advantage.
B. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
• Minimum of one (1) year’s experience in CDD/KYC/AML in a financial or non-banking financial environment.
C. COMPETENCIES
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge and understanding of KYC and Risk Management principles.
• Excellent observation skills.
• Capacity to identify, understand and respond to complex problems.
• Attention to detail ability to work independently and as part of a team.
D. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Complete KYC on-boarding for new and existing customer by reviewing client documentation.
• Develop knowledge of AML Acts related regulations.
• Perform the required KYC screening on new clients by documenting and corroborating the information obtained
on the client as required by the Fund’s KYC Procedures.
• Meeting production target volumes and dates as advised by line management.
• Other project work assigned within the scope of AML/KYC.
