RISK MANAGER – Botswana Telecommunications Corporation

Key Responsibilities

• Provide professional Risk Management input into the development and implementation of BTC’s corporate strategy to safeguard organisational assets and deliver shareholder value.
• Develop, implement and maintain Risk Management policies, frameworks and standards while monitoring compliance and strengthening the organisation’s governance and internal control environment.
• Lead the identification, assessment, monitoring and mitigation of organisational risks through regular risk assessments, audits, reporting and collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
• Oversee the development, implementation and maintenance of business continuity and disaster recovery plans to ensure organisational resilience and continuity of critical operations.
• Provide management with professional risk advisory services, actionable insights and recommendations to support informed decision-making and address identified risk exposures.
• Provide strategic leadership to the Risk Management team, drive performance and capability development, and promote a strong risk management culture across the organisation.

Requirements

• Degree in Information Technology, Risk Management, Business Administration, Telecommunications Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• Master’s Degree in a relevant field will be an added advantage.
• Minimum of 6 years’ professional experience in Risk Management, Business Continuity and Insurance.
• At least 3 years’ managerial experience in Risk Management.
• Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP).
• Postgraduate Certificate in Enterprise Risk Management.
