Merchandising Assistant at JB BOTSWANA

• Bookkeeping, checking the invoice against purchase orders as well as maintain the daily purchase in excel.
• Identifying the existing item/new code creation, updating the price given by Merchandising Manager and preparing the distribution sheet.
• Receiving of invoices and registering, preparing excess/shortage, and sending it to Dep. Head and submitting of completed invoices to accounts department.
• Allocation of stock as instructed by the Merchandising Manager, checking if any stock remaining in the warehouse after the allocation and liaising with warehouse supervisor regarding any printout of stock distribution.
• Liaising with branches in case of any query related to stock allocated to them, liaising with branches regarding transfers and returns.
• Informing the branches regarding sale/price changes/promotion
• Helping Assistant Merchandising Manager in clearing IBT (between stores and warehouse)

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of management.
• Adequate knowledge of the retail industry.
• Strong knowledge of Windows, Excel.
• Good problem-solving skills and a creative approach for new ideas
• High level of organization
• Good interpersonal skills
• Excellent team working skills.
• Computer literate
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Application and other relevant software
• High degree of attention to detail
• Can work under pressure with minimal supervision and has the ability to multitask.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Merchandising or any related course
