Overview
We require an engineer who will take responsibility for the scheduling, planning, forecasting, resourcing, tracking, reporting, and managing of projects for Botala Energy Limited.
The Project Engineer should have the ability to work with multiple discipline projects and demonstrate excellent project management, general management, and supervision skills. They should also have excellent organizational, time management, leadership, financial and decision making skills and be able to work well with regulatory authorities, contractors, suppliers, and local authorities.
Project Engineer Responsibilities:
• Concept designs and design oversight of the project.
• Development of project site plans.
• Working with management and regulatory authorities to ensure necessary approvals.
• Preparing, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring of assigned engineering projects.
• Formulating project parameters and assigning responsibilities to the most capable employees and monitoring the project team.
• Participation in stakeholder meetings.
• Preparing necessary presentation materials.
• Ensuring project deadlines are met.
• Determining project changes.
• Performing quality control tasks, budgets, schedules, plans, and personnel performance and reporting on the project’s status.
• Cooperating and communicating with the project manager and other project participants and collaborating with senior engineers, contractors, planners and local authorities.
• Reviewing the engineering tasks and initiating the necessary corrective actions.
• Developing specifications for the equipment.
• Creating frameworks to measure the project’s metrics, data collection and reporting.
• Establishing field test methods and methods for monitoring quality.
• Ensuring the project’s compliance with the applicable codes, practices, policies, performance standards, and specifications. • Developing project strategies.
• Delivering on project objectives.
• Ensuring projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained.
• Assess project risks and issues and provide solutions/response measures.
• Manage stakeholder relations specific to the project.
Project Engineer Requirements:
• A Bachelor’s degree in engineering and professional registration/certification.
• 4 or more years’ field and project planning experience in the energy sector.
• Excellent computer literacy and knowledge of design and visualization software.
• The ability to work in multi-disciplinary projects.
• Excellent project management and supervision skills.
• Good understanding of project finances, budgeting, and management.
• Excellent organizational, time management, leadership, and decision-making skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of applicable codes, policies, standards, and best practices.
• Self-starter and able to work independently.
