DESCRIPTION
Operate and continually monitor mine dewatering pumping systems, monitor PH levels in mine dewatering pump water discharge, and assist fitters with pump maintenance.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Operates mine dewatering pumps to keep water level in the mine under control.
- Monitors the PH level of the dewatering pump discharge water on a continuous basis.
- Transports portable pumps, pipes, and related pumping accessories to required areas
- Maintains good housekeeping standards
- Adheres to all SHE safety rules and standards
- Ensures that appropriate PPE is always worn
Qualifications:
- BGCSE
- Working knowledge of water pump operation and maintenance
- 2 Years’ experience underground pumping experience
- Good team player
- Good communication skills
- Ability to demonstrate PNR values and core competencies
