Key Responsibilities

• Deliver attentive, professional and personalised food and beverage service in accordance with lodge standards.
• Prepare restaurant and dining areas, ensuring tables, service stations and equipment are clean, properly set up and ready for service.
• Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of menus, ingredients, dietary requirements, wines and other beverages.
• Take orders accurately, serve meals and beverages efficiently, and ensure timely follow-up with guests.
• Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to requests, preferences and special occasions.
• Maintain impeccable personal presentation and adhere to all hygiene, health and safety standards.
• Monitor service equipment and restaurant supplies, ensuring proper handling, storage and minimal breakage.
• Assist with stock counts, stock rotation and reporting of shortages or wastage.
• Work collaboratively with the kitchen, bar and wider lodge team to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Assist with special dining experiences, outdoor dining and lodge functions as required.

Requirements

• O-Level certification or equivalent.
• At least three (3) years of relevant food and beverage service experience.
• Previous experience in a quality hotel, restaurant, safari lodge or luxury hospitality environment is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of food and beverage service standards, table setup and menu presentation.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and guest relations skills.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high service standards.
• Strong attention to detail, reliability and a professional, well-groomed appearance.
• Demonstrated commitment to teamwork, hygiene and exceptional guest care.
